The Woodlands School Parent Council welcomes our new and returning families to the 2008-2009 school year. This mail contains three items for your consideration:

September/October Council Newsletter

The latest council newsletter is attached for the benefit of parents who did not attend registration and so did not receive a copy. This issue introduces the council and its goals and provides a preliminary calendar of events. September Seminar - Homework and Study Skills

The school council will continue to offer its successful evening seminar series this year. Our first presentation will be on homework and study skills and will take place on September 24 at 7:30pm at the school.  Attendance is free and all parents and students are welcome. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to sign up at http://woodlandscouncil.com/events/2008/homework_and_study_skills so that seating and refreshment requirements can be estimated.

September Council Meeting

The first council meeting for this school year will take place on Monday September 29th at 7:30pm. All parents are welcome to observe, ask questions, or become involved in the council. A reminder email will be sent to this list once the agenda has been confirmed - please contact one of the council executives if you wish to place an item on the agenda.
